Overview & What to Expect

As the largest hospital in the Lee Health system, Gulf Coast Medical Center houses a Level II Trauma Center, the Neuroscience Institute, orthopedic, oncology and cardiology services, and much more.

An accredited, comprehensive stroke center features minimally invasive catheter procedures to treat stroke patients.

Since 2017, Gulf Coast Medical Center has undergone an extensive expansion, adding three stories and 268 patient beds, including additional ICU beds and an inpatient unit for cancer care.

The Regional Cancer Center at Gulf Coast Medical Center

The expansion also includes a dedicated floor with patient beds and a passionate staff specially trained to treat cancer. This cancer floor means patients and their families have access to treatment options in one place, amenities designed for maximum comfort, and the latest technology.

Gulf Coast Medical Center’s 7th floor is part of the Regional Cancer Center, a national-level program that brings together top cancer experts around Southwest Florida to provide inpatient and outpatient care for our community.

Parking is easy at Gulf Coast Medical Center! Park for free right out front and all around our facility.

There are three entrances into the parking lot:

  • Main patient entrance: South from Daniels Parkway
  • West from Plantation Road
  • East from Metro Parkway 

Additional Services

This Lee Health facility provides handicapped-accessible parking, wheelchair service, patient escorts, accessible restrooms, and other patient resources such as language services to make your stay easier and more convenient.

Parking Lot Valet

Need a ride from your car to the door? Look out for our friendly volunteers driving golf carts throughout the parking lot, offering free rides to the hospital door.
